LOVELL, Wyo. – Willard “Bill” Dausman, 83, passed away peacefully Sept. 26, 2015 in Lovell, Wyo. He was born April 9, 1932, in Oswego, to Vern and Martha Dausman. On May 5, 1983, he married Wilma May, who preceded him in death. He began his working life designing and building mobile home parks including Lake Estates in Indiana. Later in life he was employed by Zimmer Inc., where he worked in research and development. He was an accomplished horseman and longtime member of the American Quarter Horse Association. He passed on his talent and love of horses to his children and grandchildren. He was a patient and hardworking man that was always the first to volunteer a helping hand. Survivors are: two brothers, Jetty and Everett Dausman, both of Leesburg; four children, Dan (and spouse Meg) Dausman, Kathy Cahill and Jay (and spouse Elizabeth) Dausman, all of Pierceton; and Dave (and spouse Carrie) Dausman, Lovell, Wyo.; six stepchildren: Val (and spouse Bruce) Sweetheimer, Bart (and spouse Dawn) Jones and Melanie Burkett, all of Pierceton; Ray (and Deb Smith) Jones, North Manchester; Lynette (and spouse Willie) Ream, North Webster; Lori (and spouse Doug) Greene, Syracuse; 30 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his brother Glen, a sister, Lois, and a son, Allen. A grave side memorial was held Sept. 28, 2015 in Byron, Wyo., and a memorial service will be scheduled at a later date in Indiana. Haskell Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
