KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Twelve student athletes were selected to represent the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics in a partnership with the American Red Cross.The 2008-09 Red Cross/NAIA Youth Leadership Program is now in its second year, and will inspire, motivate and create a new and diverse generation of Red Cross volunteers and leaders through exemplifying the five core values of the NAIA Champions of Character program.
Among the 12 student athletes chosen was Amanda Wiley. She will be a senior this fall on the University of Saint Francis volleyball team. She is a native of Warsaw, and a Tippecanoe Valley High School graduate.
"This is an exceptional opportunity for Amanda," said USF coach Hector Kiely. "She's a leader on the court as well as in other areas, and she will represent the university and conference very well."
