The employee committee at Wildman Business Group chose to support Francine’s Friends because of the free service they provide to people who do not have insurance or cannot afford to get a mammogram.
Wildman employees raised $1,000 and wore pink t-shirts to work Tuesday in support of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The funds raised will go to help women receive mammograms from the Francine's Friends Mobile Mammograhy bus.
Francine’s Friends is named after Francine Schubert, the wife of a Fort Wayne physician, who died from breast cancer.
Next year the mammography coach will be coming to Wildman to offer free mammograms to anyone in the community who wishes to use the services.
