Wildcats Snap Four-Game Skid

LAGRANGE – Micah Cokl scored 16 points to lead the Whitko boys basketball team to a 56-50 victory Wednesday at Prairie Heights.
The Wildcats led 24-17 after the first quarter and 32-24 at halftime.
They scored just three points in the third quarter to trail by three heading into the fourth, but had a 21-point fourth quarter for the victory.
Spencer Sroufe and Brett Sickafoose each scored 14 points for the Wildcats (2-4).
The win was Whitko’s first since their season-opening victory over Columbia City on Nov. 21.
Whitko will play Friday at Tippecanoe Valley in a Three Rivers Conference matchup.
Whitko Falls To Churubusco
SOUTH WHITLEY – The Whitko wrestling team lost 66-9 to Churubusco in a home match Wednesday.
Whitko’s Robert Werstler won a 4-2 decision at 132 pounds, while RJ Patrick picked up a pin in the third period of the 170-pound match.
Manchester, Valley Split Swim Meet
AKRON – The Mancheser and Tippecanoe Valley swim teams split the difference in a meet Wednesday in the Vikings’ pool.
The Manchester boys team won 68-66 over Valley, while the Lady Vikings topped the Lady Squires 72-68.
