SOUTH WHITLEY - Whitko's football team erased a 32-16 third-quarter deficit to beat North Miami 36-32 Friday.
The Wildcats scored 20 unanswered second-half points. Two of Whitko's three second-half touchdowns followed fumble recoveries.
The Warriors still had their chances late. They had the ball on Whitko's 17-yard line facing third and inches, but Whitko's Jeff Coble sacked quarterback Matt Graham. Facing fourth down and three yards to go and a 36-32 deficit with 38 seconds left, the Warriors were left no choice but to go for it.
