SYRACUSE – Wilbur M. Smith, 83, of Syracuse, passed away May 12, 2012.
He was born Oct. 15, 1928, in Pulaski County, to Harold T. and Geneva I. Raderstorf Smith.
He was a Syracuse area resident since 1968, coming from Crown Point. He retired from Northern Indiana Public Service Co. and was a member of Winamac Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rite, South Bend.
Surviving a son, Terry Smith, Syracuse; two granddaughters; a sister, Norma Shiedler, Winamac; and his longtime companion, Sharon Boles, Syracuse. He was preceded in death by a son, Brad Smith, and three sisters, Wanda Collins, Jean Morgan and Betty Ruthann Herald.
A memorial service will be at noon Saturday at Eastlund Funeral Home, 7458 E. CR 1000N, Syracuse.
Calling is from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at the funeral home. ***** Memorials may be made to his granddaughters’ college education fund.
