MENTONE - The program at Rotors Over Mentone on Saturday at the Lawrence D. Bell Aircraft Museum will feature Wil Davis, chairman of Gary Jet Center in Gary.
Davis is a U.S. Navy veteran, decorated Vietnam pilot and aviation entrepreneur, according to a news release from the museum. He joined the Nay in 1966 and soon found himself in Pensacola, Fla., for pilot training. He earned his naval aviator wings and was assigned to Helicopter Attack Squadron 3 based in Na Bha, Vietnam. From 1966 to today, he has continued his path in aviation.
The program will start at 11 a.m. and last about an hour.
American Huey 369 will arrive at 10 a.m. and start giving Membership Living History Flight Experiences for a fee after lunch.
Gary Cleveland, of Cleveland Helicopter Service, will be offering rides also. Cost to ride is $60 for one person or $150 for three people. There will be a $5 fee if a credit card is used. They will offer rides from 10 to 11 a.m. and resume after the program.
Food, drinks, and Igloo Ice Cream will be available.
The Lawrence D. Bell Aircraft Museum is at 210 S. Oak St., Mentone.
