WHITLEY COUNTY - A South Whitley woman died this morning after a two-vehicle accident outside of Columbia City.
According to the Whitley County Sheriff's Department, Marilyn S. Coy, 60, South Whitley, was westbound on CR 300S when she failed to yield at the intersection with Raber Road in Union Township at 6:56 a.m. today.
Coy's vehicle was struck on the driver's side by a Jeep, driven by Brent R. Shockley, 21, Columbia City.
Coy was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger in Coy's vehicle, Kathy Surface, 53, South State Street, South Whitley, was taken to Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne with minor head bleeding.
