WABASH – The Whitko boys varsity golf team placed third in Northfield’s Cole Invitational at Honeywell Golf Course on Saturday. The Wildcats’ score of 364 was their lowest 18-hole score of the year. The Wildcats beat five of the six other Three Rivers Conference opponents present at the invite, including seventh-place Manchester. Scoring for the Wildcats were Tim Gensch with an 83, Grady Clingerman with an 88, Cade Bechtold with a 96, and Kaleb Busz with a 97. Gensch's 83 earned him seventh overall, his third medal of the season. The Wildcats are back in action today, hosting Tippecanoe Valley at Sycamore Golf Club in North Manchester.
