Recently, Congressman Mark Souder invited Whitko High School art instructor Walter Malicki to paint and decorate an ornament to represent Souder for display on the tree at the White House in Washington, D.C.Laura Bush noted ornaments will be on display in the Blue Room, representing artists from all over the United States.
The ornament was to compliment a red, white and blue theme, and to capture the spirit of each artist's state, district or territory. The Malicki ornament was based on a farm scene with a winter setting.
