Whitko High School students Tabitha Brenneman and Shayne Linder received silver medals in the National Scholastic Art Competition in New York this month.
Brenneman, a sophomore, was honored for her colored pencil drawings of "Bicycles." She is the daughter of Joseph and Rene Brenneman, Larwill.
Linder, a senior, was recognized for his "Sunrise" drawing in chalk. He will be attending the Herron School of Art in Indianapolis. He is the son of Mark and Joyce Linder, Columbia City.
The Whitko art department, which is directed by Walt Malicki, has received 32 national awards.
