Whitko pitcher Laura Keirn tossed a no-hitter and struck out 14, but it wasn't enough as the Wildcats lost in the regional.
Whitko's softball team lost to Mississinewa 1-0 in Monday's Garrett Regional game. Two mistakes by Whitko's defense led to Mississinewa's run.
An error on a fly ball by Whitko center fielder Emily Carter allowed Mississinewa's Amanda Jackson to reach second base. After she advanced to third on a ground out, she scored the winning run on a wild pitch by Keirn in the bottom of the seventh.
Whitko had its chances, but the Wildcats stranded seven base runners.
Keirn struck out 14. Whitko ended the season 10-13.
