PIERCETON – The Whitko Board of School Trustees will hold a special session Oct. 15 at 7 p.m. at the Whitko Administration Office in Pierceton.
The purpose of the meeting is to provide an opportunity for the public to meet the candidates running for Whitko School Board positions being vacated Dec. 31. This will be a forum where the candidates will discuss their views on issues facing the Whitko Community Schools with the public.
The candidates include Joe Begley, running unopposed for District 3 (Cleveland Township in Whitley County); and Georgia Tenney and Phil Menzie vying for one seat in District 1 (Washington and Monroe townships in Kosciusko County).
The seats will be filled during the upcoming November election.
