Whitko Scholarships Phone-A-Thon Set For Feb. 28SOUTH WHITLEY – It is once again time for the Whitko High School annual phone-athon.
The event will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Feb. 28. Calls will be made during this time. Twenty-four to 30 students make the calls in two-hour intervals to receive pledges for this year’s seniors. Donations are tax-deductible.
Each year 25 to 30 scholarships are awarded to graduating seniors from WHS. Over $6,000 was awarded in 2018, and the goal this year is to surpass that amount.
Pledge money helps with their tuition cost at post-secondary educational institutions.
Scholarship applications can be obtained from the guidance office.
