WABASH — The Whitko football team had no problem improving to 3-0 in Three Rivers Conference play Friday, getting a 51-7 win at Wabash. In the blowout, Whitko scored 24 first-quarter points and never looked back. Amassing 280 rushing yards, the Whitko Wildcats were led by Tanner Hughes 193 yards and three touchdowns, while Thomas Owsley had 41 yards and a score, as well as a punt return touchdown, Devin Gerding went for 24 and a scored and Brady Weeks had the other score. While Whitko was running wild in the win, the Wabash Apaches managed just four yards on the ground. The Wildcats will look to move to 4-0 in the TRC Friday night at home against Northfield.
