Whitko Receives $6,500 Grant From Parkview Whitley Hospital

PIERCETON - Whitko Community Schools received a Community Health Improvement Program Grant for $6,500 from Parkview Whitley Hospital.
Books about treating illness, diet, exercise, drug abuse, handicaps and self-esteem now are available at Whitko High School and Middle School.
Starting at the elementary level, students choose the food on their tray at lunch. Current nutrition materials are needed so that good choices are made. At Pierceton Elementary and South Whitley Elementary, books about diet, exercise, treating injuries, illness, body systems and senses have been added.
Parkview Whitley Hospital has made it possible for Whitko students to learn about healthy lifestyles.
