Whitko Presents Two Plays In One

Posted
SOUTH WHITLEY - Whitko Community Schools present a fall play by directors Dawn Hinthorn and Susie Trixler.

They are the same directors who brought "Sound Of Music," "The Butler Did It" and "Sagebrush" to Whitko. There will be two one-act plays performed in one night.

The first play, "How To Get Rid Of A Housemother," takes place in a sorority house whose members find out they are getting a new housemother straight from the Marine Corps. Not wanting to become Marines themselves, the girls come up with a plan to get rid of their new housemother.

Right after the intermission, the cast will present "Hogwash." In this play, audiences meet Louie who is quite a handful to deal with. Louie is ornery and gets into a lot of trouble.

Cast members include students from both Whitko High School and Whitko Middle School: Kelsey Kreger, Amanda Schultz, Tara Lukens, Tiler Haigwood, Wes Gensch, Heather Myers, Kendall Terrill, Cece Cherry, Jordan Gregory, Austin Nierman, Hope Yates and Claire Truman. Marissa Ganger is the student director.

Both short plays will be performed in one night on Nov. 8 and 10 beginning at 7 p.m. Ticket prices are $5 for adults and $4 for students.
