On May 24, more than 100 Whitko Middle School students participated in the Whitko version of 'Minute to Win It!' Any student who earned 20 ROAR pawprints throughout the school year was eligible to participate. Students could earn pawprints by being respectful, on-task, an advocate or responsible. In this grade-level competition, the eighth grade was victorious and was rewarded with popcorn, pop and a video. Then on May 27, the Whitko Prize Patrol awarded a cash prize to six students whose names were drawn randomly from all the ROAR pawprints returned this year. The six students were (L to R) Nicole Anderson, Taylor Trump, Brooke Hollenbaugh, Marisa Krull, Thomas Owsley and Lane Wolf.
