SOUTH WHITLEY - It's hard to be a hero in the West but young actor Clarence Rawlins (Jordan Gregory) manages to do just that (and more) in the action-packed Western comedy "Taming the Wild Wild West in a Dress".
Rawlins and his theater company (Jacob Ray, Chelsee Christoffel, April Mullen and Peem Steiner) head west to Lucky Lady, Nev., where Rawlins discovers that he has misread his distant aunt's handwritten will. Thinking he was inheriting a profitable saloon where his acting career might flourish, he was actually bequeathed the Lucky Lady Salon, a beauty parlor.
Upon arriving at Lucky Lady they discover that there are two crooks that are plotting to acquire Rawlins' salon as part of a scheme to rob the bank next door.
What will happen to Rawlins and his acting company? Do the two crooks get away with their crooked scheme? Who wears the dress that is mentioned in the title of the show? What should I have for supper tonight?Come to Whitko High School Nov. 6 or 7 to get most of these questions answered. Sorry, you are on your own for supper plans. The play begins at 7 p.m. in the auditorium and tickets will be available at the door for $5 for adults and $4 for students.
