SOUTH WHITLEY – “Impossible for a plain yellow pumpkin to become a golden carriage!” Oh, really? Because the cast and crew of Whitko High School’s production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s “Cinderella” are determined to make it happen. While this version might not have any talking mice or wicked cats, there’s still magic enough to spare. An ornate dressing room is built for the king and queen, a broomstick is turned into a magic wand, and, well, we wouldn’t want to give anything else away. The set-building team has been working to create Cinderella’s world, and the cast has really brought the characters to life. Whitko promises it won’t disappoint on the nights of April 25 and 26 beginning at 7:30 p.m. So don’t wait to pick your seat in the auditorium – it all ends at midnight. Tickets will be available at the door for $6 for adults and $5 for students. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m.
