Little Orphan Annie’s (Jasmine Gregory) story begins in a rundown orphanage run by the tyrannical Miss Hannigan (Amie Fortman). Annie works at cleaning from day to day while hoping that someday her folks will come for her. Then one day, she gets a chance at a new life when she’s invited to spend the Christmas holidays with multibillionaire Oliver Warbucks (Jonathan Johnson). Suddenly, sitting in the lap of luxury, Annie charms everyone in the huge household, including Warbucks himself. But will she ever get the family she wished for? Not if Miss Hannigan, her con man brother Rooster (Connor Castillo) and his greedy girlfriend Lily (Sarah Rose) have anything to say about it. To see how Annie’s story turns out, go to Whitko High School at 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Tickets will be available at the door, $6 for adults and $5 for students.
