SOUTH WHITLEY — Whitko High School alumni will be honored during the Whitko girls basketball game against Wabash on Jan. 26. The emphasis of the event will be on the Whitko’s 1992-93 girls basketball team, with all former players being admitted free, and members will be introduced before the game. A chili cookoff will also take place before the game at 4:30 p.m. in the cafeteria. Chili competitors may begin setting up at 4 p.m., with voting taking place to determine the $50 first-place winner. Chili may be purchased by the bowl or an “around the world” pass, which allows you some of everyone’s chili. Money raised from the event will go to the Whitko girls basketball team.
