SOUTH WHITLEY – Led by senior Jennifer Reiff and junior Aly Reiff, the Whitko Lady Wildcats scored a 57-41 win over the Wawasee Lady Warriors Tuesday night. Jennifer Reiff scored a game-high 24 points for the home team, while Aly Reiff finished with 13, as Class 2A No. 8 Whitko improved to 13-6 on the season. Junior Brianna Cumberland scored nine points in the win. For the Lady Warriors, who fell to 5-13, senior Kylee Rostochak scored 21 points, while junior Hannah Haines chipped in with seven points, and junior Aubrey Schmeltz and sophomore Kabrea Rostochak tallied four points each. Whitko led 17-10 after one quarter of play, 29-17 at halftime and 38-30 at the end of the third quarter. Wawasee is scheduled to host Prairie Heights tonight in a game that was postponed on Nov. 21. The Lady Wildcats are in action again Saturday when they play Three Rivers Conference foe Northfield at Grace College’s Manahan Orthopaedic Capital Center.
