LARWILL – The second annual Whitko Career Academy Banquet is Oct. 9.
This year’s banquet recognizes the accomplishments of students, teachers and instructors and recognizes Whitko’s supporting organizations and business partners.
The WCA is at 710 N. Ind. 5, southwest of Larwill.
The event begins at 6 p.m. with academy tours and a meet and greet in the commons area. Silent auction items, many made by the WCA’s construction and welding students, will be available for bidding wars. Dinner is at 7 p.m. with the program starting at 7:45 p.m.
The WCA Culinary Program students will prepare and serve appetizers in the commons area. Students enrolled in the Business Program have organized and will manage the silent auction. The Agriculture Program students will be on hand to serve the meal in the main gymnasium.
Whitko Superintendent Tim Pivarnik will present the WCA vision.
A highlight of the event is the introduction of alumni and their induction to the Whitko Wall of Fame. Students from all the programs will be honored for their achievements as they prepare their futures.
Individual tickets are $75. It’s not too late to be a sponsor. Sponsorships are available from $500 to $3,000.
