Whitko Boys Cross Country Team's Season Ends At Sectional

FORT WAYNE – At Tuesday’s Fort Wayne Northrop Sectional, the second-ranked Carroll Chargers finished first in boys cross country action, while Whitko was ninth. The top five teams at the sectional advance to Saturday’s West Noble Regional, led by Carroll’s 33 points, followed by No. 19 Homestead (62), Fort Wane Concordia (88), No. 24 Fort Wayne Dwenger (91) and Fort Wayne Snider (121). Whitko tallied 263 points, as Derek Miller leading the team with his 44th-place finish in a time of 18:12. Concordia’s Zachery Panning was the meet’s individual champion, winning in 15:40, followed by Carroll’s Alexander Hess (16:08) and Jonathan Harper (16:09) in second and third, respectively.
