The WHSI High School Art Department recently competed in the 13th Annual High School Art Exhibition, hosted by Huntington University in the Robert E. Wilson Gallery. The exhibit took place Feb. 7-20 and included 109 art works, in a variety of media, from 14 high schools. Whitko High School art student Chase Castillo was awarded an honorable mention in the mixed media category for his cut paper piece titled "True Colors” (pictured). Honorable mentions recognize individuals who are among the top artists in their medium/category. Whitko High School art instructor Daniel Malicki stated that he “is proud of his students’ pursuit for excellence in art.”
