Whitko Advances With 65-34 Sectional Win Over Bremen

ALBION – Whitko had four players in double figures, led by Aly Reiff’s 17 points, in the Lady Wildcats’ 65-34 win over Bremen at the Central Noble 2A Sectional Tuesday night. The win was the 18th on the year for Whitko (against six losses), eclipsing the school record for wins in a season set by the 2007-08 team. Hanna Yohe had 15 points, Brianna Cumberland hit four three-pointers for 12 points and Jennifer Reiff added 10 for the Lady Wildcats. The Lady Wildcats led by seven at the end of the first quarter and 29-15 at hafltime. Whitko outscored the Lady Lions 24-9 in the third period to end any hope of a Bremen comeback. Whitko advanced to the sectional semifinal against host Central Noble at 6 p.m. Friday.
