ROCHESTER - Wendall Leon Stewart, 85, died at 4:47 a.m. Oct. 25, 2010, in his residence.
He was born June 20, 1925, in Tipton County, to Oscar H. and Opal D. Stoops Stewart. His wife, Carol, survives.
He was a 1943 Tipton High School graduate.
Also surviving are a daughter, Bernita (and spouse Allen) Conrad, Centerville; a son, Kevin N. (and spouse Elizabeth) Stewart, Warsaw; two grandchildren; a sister, Gwendolyn (and spouse John) Fullen, Indianapolis; and a brother, Richard W. (and spouse Darlene) Stewart, Kokomo. He was preceded in death by an infant son.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester, with the Rev. Maurice Grindle officiating. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. at Fairvew Cemetery near Hobbs with military honors by members of American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to the service Wednesday at the funeral home.
