Editor, Times-Union: This is in regard to the article by Mark Howe who writes a great column for the Sports page in the Warsaw Times-Union. The headline in the paper Tuesday, March 1, 2016 was “Campaign Trail Not The Place For Sports, Politics to Mix”. Very well written. His final paragraph says it very succinctly and bears repeating: “Sports is big business, even on the amateur level. Business and politics are seen together more often than not. But I’m going to do my due diligence and make up my own mind, regardless of who’s endorsed by whom. Sports tends to unite people of different ideals, and it should always stay that way.” May all of us voters do our “due diligence” by being the informed ones. Not the uninformed ones!
