Bhrett Weese, 7, and his brother, Breydan Weese, who turns 4 Tuesday, were located by Calcasieu Parish sheriff deputies Wednesday in Hayes, La., after Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department detectives received a tip this week to their whereabouts.KCSD Detectives Jon Tyler and Charlene Johnson stated this morning they had received what was considered a "Hot Tip" from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children Center. The Weese boys had been entered into the Center's database.
A warrant service team from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Department located the two boys and their mother, who was arrested on an outstanding Kosciusko County warrant for interfering with custody.
The mother, April A. Haywood, 27, is awaiting extradition procedures to be brought back to Indiana on a $10,000 warrant.
Bhrett and Breydan Weese were first reported missing Sept. 4 to the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department, according to Tyler and Johnson.
An investigation, previously reported in the Times-Union, of the father, Ryan Weese, is still ongoing. Detectives declined to specify the nature of the investigation that has been ongoing since June.
