Staff Report-
WINONA LAKE – The first annual Weed Wrangle® hosted by the Kosciusko Water and Woodland Invasive Partnership will be taking place from 8 a.m. to noon March 20.
This event will be targeting the Winona Lake biking trails.
If you enjoy the benefits of these wooded areas, this is a great way to invest in their longevity so they can be assets to our community for years to come, according to a news release from the Kosciusko Water and Woodland Invasive Partnership.
Take this opportunity to get your hands dirty and tackle some of our most difficult woody invasives including Bush Honeysuckle, Burning Bush and Japanese Barberry.
This event is best suited for adults and limited to 20 registrants to allow for social distancing.
Register at winonawrangle.eventbrite.com. Be prepared to handle loppers and chemicals. Gloves, water and pre-packaged snacks will be provided.
The Kosciusko Water and Woodland Invasive Partnership exists to build community support to protect the land and water in Kosciusko County from non-native invasive species.
