Webster Woman Faces Meth Count

Another day, another methamphetamine-related arrest in Kosciusko County.

On Thursday, Kosciusko County Sheriff's Dept. deputies arrested a North Webster woman for allegedly manufacturing methamphetamine and neglecting two children.Katarzyna Iden, 28, of EMS W29 Lane, North Webster, was arrested and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail at 6:13 p.m. Thursday on one count of felony manufacturing methamphetamine and two counts of neglect of a dependent. Her bond was set at $10,000.

According to the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department, a case worker from Child Protective Services went to Iden's home on EMS W29 Lane, but was not allowed in the residence to check on the welfare of the children inside.

Lt. Chris McKeand and Sgt. Rick Shepherd arrived at the home and were allowed to enter with the CPS agent.

Officers immediately found evidence of a methamphetamine lab as well as a shotgun.

The Kosciusko County Drug Task Force requested and received a search warrant for the residence and called the Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab team to take the meth lab apart.
