NORTH WEBSTER -ÊA 2-year old North Webster boy is dead after an accident Sunday afternoon at the Hoss Hills Bowmen Club.
Hunter Lewis, son of Sam and Heather Lewis, North Webster, was climbing on a large wooden archery target used at the club. The target fell over on the boy, causing extensive head injuries.
When Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department officers arrived at the scene around 4:30 p.m., Lewis was lying on the floor, unresponsive. The boy was pronounced dead at the scene by the Kosciusko County Coroner's Office.
The incident remains under investigation by the sheriff's department.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department was assisted by the North Webster Police Department, Milford Police Department, North Webster EMS and Syracuse EMS.
