NORTH WEBSTER – Town council approved a $20,000 agreement with Triad Associates Tuesday for a wastewater improvement project grant application. The town is seeking a $450,000 Community Development Block Grant from the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs as part of approximately $1.85 million in wastewater system improvements. The other $1.4 million will come from a bond issuance. The project will include lift station and wastewater treatment plant upgrades. The town approved the agreement with Triad to provide engineering services for the grant application. Also during the meeting, Utilities Director Mike Noe told council that Gary Miller and Mark Porter, former employees of Severn Trent, have been hired to fill two vacant positions; and that construction will begin soon on a new street garage.
