NORTH WEBSTER -ÊA North Webster man was arrested Monday night after being accused of touching a child inappropriately.
Chris Douglas Ducey, 38, of 40 EMS W26 Lane, North Webster, was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail at 10:42 p.m. Monday on a charge of child molesting, a Class C felony. His bond was set at $5,000.
Ducey allegedly fondled a 13-year-old girl while riding a four-wheeled all-terrain vehicle Monday afternoon. The girl told police that she was operating the ATV when Ducey put his arms around her and rubbed her breasts and stomach area. Ducey allegedly groped the girl twice while on the vehicle.
According to a report from the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department, when asked about the incident, Ducey originally said he was trying to hug the girl but later said he touched the girl inappropriately.
Ducey started to make a taped statement to officers then changed his mind.
The incident remains under investigation by the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department.
