A North Webster man was arrested Monday night on charges of intimidation with force and criminal recklessness.
Dennis Henry Rigelman, 30, allegedly began a dispute with a neighbor that ended with Rigelman holding a shotgun.
North Webster police were called in at 10:48 p.m. to investigate a complaint of a dispute between neighbors. According to police reports, two officers arrived at the scene and requested assistance since one suspect had a gun.
When Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department units arrived, they covered the house, but Rigelman reportedly answered police by yelling and swearing.
The sheriff's dispatch contacted Rigelman by telephone and a state police officer spoke with him. According to police reports, Rigelman eventually calmed down and came out of the house to be taken into custody.
He is being held in Kosciusko County Jail without bond.
Police reportedly found a loaded pump shotgun on the front porch of Rigelman's home.
The neighbor, Carlos Lee, called police when Rigelman allegedly began to yell and swear at Lee and his wife.
Police reports said that they have had previous complaints at the residence concerning fights.
The North Webster officers reported they called for backup when Rigelman told police he was going inside his house to get his shotgun. The officers reported Rigelman stood at a window holding something that appeared to be a long gun. Police said they could hear a sound that was like a round being racked into the chamber of the pump shotgun.
