Webster Man Arrested On Multiple ChargesA man is being charged on domestic battery and strangulation charges after an altercation.

Tyler A. Ferguson, 22, of 312 W. Crystal Flash Road, #31, North Webster, also having a Millersburg address, is charged with domestic battery with a child under 16 present, a Level 6 felony; strangulation, a Level 6 felony; domestic battery, a Class A misdemeanor; and intimidation, a Class A misdemeanor.

He was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail at 6:13 p.m. July 13. No bond was set.

According to the probable cause affidavit filed Friday, North Webster police responded to a domestic battery at a residence on West Crystal Flash Road.

Police spoke to Ferguson who said he asked the victim to move out, but when Ferguson arrived home, the victim was not packed to leave. Ferguson said the victim got in his face and Ferguson shoved the victim backward. Ferguson said the victim grabbed on to his neck, causing red scratch marks with broken skin and the victim was pushed backward, according to the affidavit.

Police spoke to the victim, who stated she was packing when Ferguson came up and shoved her. She said Ferguson was angry and wanted her out in five minutes.

The victim said Ferguson grabbed her and threw her into the wall and punched her, twisted her arm and pushed her, attempting to remove her from the residence. The victim stated Ferguson knocked the victim to the floor, applying pressure to her neck, making it difficult for her to breathe. The victim admitted to scratching Ferguson, according to the affidavit, to get him off her while she was being choked.

According to the affidavit, the victim said she was in fear of her life, indicating Ferguson would kill her for calling the police.

Police observed marks, scratches and swelling on the victim. Police also noted red marks with swelling around the victim’s neck, which was consistent to being choked, according to the affidavit.

A witness spoke to police and said when she arrived at the residence, she saw Ferguson punch the victim several times.

While talking to police about the proper procedure of removing a minor who was allegedly in the residence at t the time, Ferguson allegedly told police that he he wanted to just put a bullet into the victim’s head rather than deal with her trespassing.
