Continuously serving Kosciusko County since 1854
NORTH WEBSTER - Two Webster Lake cottages were broken into and ransacked this past weekend, the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department reported today.
The burglaries at the cottages of Ralph E. Orick, Muncie, and Emmet Naselroads, Anderson, were reported Friday afternoon and Friday evening to KCSD.
Intruders at Orick's cottage, 116 EMS W-29, Webster Lake, gained entry through a padlocked door and ransacked the entire cottage. Orick preliminarily reported only a remote control taken.
Intruders at the nearby Nasselroads' cottage, 160 EMS W-29, Webster Lake, broke a window in entering the cottage and proceeded to ransack his cottage. Initially, nothing was reported missing from the cottage.
Nasselroads came to Webster Lake to inspect his cottage in response to a concerned neighbor's call to him in Anderson reporting damage to his lake side screen door.
Both burglaries remain under investigation by the KCSD.
