Wanting to collect as many ideas as possible, Warsaw Community Schools has posted a "budget cutting" survey on its Web site.
The Web site is at www.warsaw.k12.in.us
The link to the survey is on the homepage.
According to Chris Gensinger, assistant to the superintendent, WCS is encouraging the public to complete the full survey. It should take only five minutes. Through the survey, the public can see what ideas WCS is considering regarding cutting the budget. The public also has the opportunity to provide ideas on cutting the budget."We just want to know what they're thinking," Gensinger said.
WCS held a budget forum March 30 to gather ideas on the budget. However, only about 45 people attended that public meeting and only four were not affiliated with WCS. A second budget forum is scheduled for 7 p.m. April 14 at Edgewood Middle School.
Gensinger said any ideas submitted from the budget survey by April 14 will be shared at that night's public meeting. The survey probably will remain up through April 20.
