Warsaw Community Schools (WCS) announced a partnership with DreamOn Studios.
This collaboration aims to harness the power of media literacy, creativity and communication for the benefit of WCS students, according to a news release from WCS.
As part of this partnership, DreamOn Studios will engage with Warsaw Area Career Center’s (WACC) radio, TV and digital media students classes through a partnership titled DreamOn Academy. Through a collaboration with current instructor Scott Greene, students will receive industry expertise and hands-on training from the DreamOn team, stated the release. DreamOn will also consult on budgeting, equipment purchases and future planning to keep pace with evolving technology. Real-world projects will be integrated into the curriculum, and students will have opportunities to gain hands-on experience at DreamOn Studios' production events. DreamOn’s production studio will also be available for special projects.
WCS and WACC’s partnership with DreamOn Studios underscores both organizations’ commitment to fostering creativity, media literacy and student engagement. By integrating real-world experiences and industry expertise into the curriculum, they aim to equip students with the skills they need to succeed in an increasingly media-driven world and train future content creators for careers and employment in the Warsaw community.
Superintendent Dr. David Hoffert said, “We are so thankful for the community sponsorship and investment in our students. The expertise they share with our students is critical in providing real-world skills at the high levels of technical and production skills. As our students consider lifelong career paths, the DreamOn partnership with Warsaw Community Schools is ensuring they can follow their dreams with the needed confidence and skills.”
Warsaw School Board member Matt Deuel is the executive producer and co-founder of DreamOn Studios.
