Dr. Craig J. Hintz announced that on Aug. 24, Warsaw Board of School Trustees approved Deborah Blatz as the director of special services for Warsaw Community Schools.
Blatz received her Ed.S. in school administration, a master's degree in special education and a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Indiana University, Bloomington.Blatz has worked in the field of education for the past 33 year in various positions. For the past 27 years she has worked for Warsaw Community Schools. She served as the principal of Claypool Elementary and the gifted and talented coordinator for 10 years. She also worked as the assistant director of special services for the North Central Indiana Coop for 10 years.
Once the co-op decentralized seven years ago she became the assistant director of special services for Warsaw Community Schools. She has been able to impact students while teaching, during her principal ship and during her administration in special education.
