Members of Warsaw Library’s Hooked on Crochet class donated a full-sized afghan, three small afghans, scarves, hats, dishcloths, and hotpads to the Beaman Home, a local shelter for victims of abuse.
Individual blocks were crocheted over a course of months and then stitched together making the afghan. The afghan is to keep the victims warm and to show that someone cares about them.
The class meets the third Tuesday of each month at 11:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. and is for all levels. Instructors are available at each class.
A two-part beginner’s class will be Sept. 18 (part 1) and 25 (part 2) at 11:45 a.m. For more details on this class, call 574-267-6011 and speak to Marcia Mikel or Renee Sweeny.
