Editor, Times-Union: Does anyone ever wonder why the name of the library in Warsaw is “Warsaw Community Library”?
I understand that it is located in Wayne Township, however, the name is very deceiving. For residents in Wayne Township, library services are free, but for those of us who live outside of Wayne Township, but still live, work, shop and conduct business in Warsaw, we have to pay to get a library card?
I think they (whoever they might be) should consider renaming the library Wayne Township Library as to not be quite as misleading. It’s very frustrating for those of us who attend college classes (i.e. Indiana Tech, Ivy Tech, IPFW) in Warsaw yet cannot check out materials from what I used to call our local library.
It’s interesting that they allow Grace College students a free library card, yet Grace has a very large library on campus. As for me personally, I only need books every now and then – when papers are due, so for me to pay a yearly fee makes no sense.
