Staff Report-
Warsaw Community High School will host its first dance marathon to benefit Riley Hospital for Children Feb. 11. The marathon will take place from 7 to 11 p.m. in the Career Center Gym. All WCHS students are invited to attend. The dance is hosted by the WCHS Student Council. Every student is asked to raise a minimum $10 donation for Riley Hospital for Children to be admitted to the dance. For every additional $5 a student raises, he or she will be entered in a raffle for a prize basket. Students may also make their donations in the name of a club they participate in. The club that raises the most money will win a pizza or doughnut party. Students can pick up dancer registration forms in the WCHS bookstore. Marathon t-shirts also will be available for $10. All proceeds from the shirts will also be donated to Riley. The marathon will consist of dancing, stories from local families that have benefitted from the care at Riley, and a group dance taught by Riley Dance Marathon committee members from Saint Mary’s College. Community members may make donations to the Riley fundraiser during the WCHS boys basketball game Feb. 17.
