Warsaw Community High School and Warsaw Area Career Center will host an open house and program showcase Jan. 23 from 4 to 6 p.m. Parents and students are encouraged to attend this event to learn more about the educational opportunities available. There will be maps and program guides for families to tour the building, to participate in hands-on activities and demonstrations, to talk to teachers and other students, and to learn more about how to make the most of their high school years. The goal is to increase understanding of program choices as families begin to plan college and career pathways. There will be a class of 2015 parent meeting in Tiger Central from 5:45 to 6:30 p.m. Guidance counselor Rick Swain and Assistant Principal Dani Barkey will share pertinent information including Core 40 requirements, PSAT, SAT, ACT, ASVAB, ECA, work permits, academic support, dual credits, scholarships and course offerings through WACC. Parents of current sophomores are encouraged to attend. For more information, call WCHS or WACC at 574-371-5099.
