On Wednesday, Warsaw Community High School teachers Christopher Hindsley and Anne Slaughter will take 27 students to France during spring vacation. They will begin their trip in Paris, where they will tour the city including monuments such as the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the Louvre, Notre Dame Cathedral and the Palace of Versailles, according to a press release provided by Slaughter. Students and teachers will then travel by train to spend five days in Niort, France. Warsaw students will be hosted by the same Lycée Saint André students who visited them in September. While in Niort, students will attend classes and participate in a variety of activities organized by the Lycée Saint André faculty and students. “WCHS French students and teacher wish to express their gratitude to the following individuals and organizations for their encouragement and support of this venture: John Elliott and Jim Griest, of First Source Bank; Dr. David Hoffert, Warsaw Community Schools superintendent; Troy Akers, WCHS principal; Jim Gilmer, Tina Dunn, Dan Dickerhoff, Madison Hart and the faculty, staff and administration of WCHS,” the release states.
