Jacob Kissling and Justin Park, seniors in the Warsaw Community High School Class of 2021, are both winners of the College Board's National Rural and Small Town Recognition Program.
The recognition highlights the range of talents that each young man possesses. Colleges and universities across the nation have been made aware of their academic excellence. This can assist with potential scholarship opportunities, according to a news release from Warsaw Community Schools.
Samuel Lechlitner, Class of 2021, was notified that he has met the requirements to advance to finalist standing in the competition. All finalists are considered for National Merit Scholarship awards to be offered later this spring, stated the release.
The selection of 7,500 Merit Scholarship winners from the group of more than 15,000 finalists is now underway. Later in March, the National Merit Scholarship Committee will be notifying schools of winners with media announcements coming in April and May.
