Members of the Warsaw Community High School band attended a performance of 'Blast!' at the Honeywell Center in Wabash March 20. Little did they realize that they would see some of those same musicians up close the next morning. WCHS graduate and former band member Ben Handel paid a surprise visit to his alma mater, along with fellow 'Blast!' cast members Andrew Smith and Joey Oakley. The trio performed for and talked to WCHS band members for three class periods before leaving for South Bend, where 'Blast!' was scheduled to perform that evening. The three musicians discussed topics including their auditions and rehearsals for 'Blast!', practicing, lessons and the thrill of performing for an audience.
