On Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Warsaw Community High School Performing Arts Center, the WCHS Choral Department will combine with students from Manchester and Tippecanoe Valley high schools to perform "Requiem" by John Leavitt with the composer conducting the performance.
This opportunity for the students to work with a composer will be made even more special as they will be accompanied by the Symphony of the Lakes. It will be the second half of the Symphonic Sampler concert.
More than 100 students will sing in the choir. The concert is free of charge but donations will be split between the symphony and the high school project.
The WCHS Choral Department will present its annual fall concert Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center. The concert will feature all of the departmental choirs including Beginning Men, Beginning Women, Intermediate Choir and the Select Chorale. The concert is no charge, donations accepted for the department. Directing the group will be Scott Avery. Accompanist will be Deb Bishop.
