Warsaw Community High School will hold freshmen orientation Aug. 11 from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at WCHS.
Students are asked to enter through the Performing Arts Center doors. All incoming freshmen students are invited to attend. Parents are advised that only students may enter the building. There will be a digital version of the program for parents and students this year with important information regarding the school year from key school figures including ninth-grade-level Principal Brett Eberly, according to a news release from Warsaw Community Schools.
Students also will receive their iPad at this event as well as information to purchase insurance on that device. Insurance is a valuable asset to have in case of an accident. iPad insurance for freshmen will be $25, stated the release. This will be the only time to pick up iPads before Aug. 21. Students will also have a chance to tour the school and walk their class schedules. This is an evening designed to help students and their families make a smooth transition into WCHS.
WCS would like to offer bus transportation to students who can not get to and from WCHS for this event. A Google form for those requesting transportation is available on the WCHS website under the student menu for the freshman class of 2024 until Thursday.
